A few people on this thread need to seriously wobble their heads..

"city can't finalise deals"

"I am concerned about the lack of movement in the transfer market"

Look up the following saying...

Patience is a virtue!

Our owners..do you really really think they haven't discussed targets with Roberto etc etc. Some fans need to relax and as TH says...just wait for the bombs!
True, I really dont see any movement until we have moved 1 or 2 players on first

There is little chance of the Sheikh standing still now.

We achieved great success last campaign.

Why stand still and let those trailing, catch up.

We shall forge ahead

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don't give up though the pace seems slow--

You may succeed with another blow,

Success is failure turned inside out--

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--

It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

I'm very pleased we haven't just rushed out and bought for the sake of it. Let the other teams have their moment on the back pages, we are champions and will have ours in good time. I think fortune favours the bold and Bobby & Co are doing the right thing. We need to get our house in order before we drop the bombs. It's very clear that the mass clear out is a priority. We need to be leaner with FFP. Without clearing the deadwood we are hamstrung. As Tolmie suggested we need and are being ruthless. There's no time for sentiment, MCFC is a business that wants to be the best and the players we are letting go can and will be replaced with better quality either on lower wages or the same. Savic, Boyata, Weiss, MJ, Santa Cruz, Niemley may all be good people but just aren't good enough for where we want to be. Dzeko, Kola and Dejong have done well for us but for what they earn we can do better. We want to be the best of the best and the clear out being undertaken is the start. To sum up Business is Business and the changes are nothing personal just Bobby doing want he needs to do.

If TH is correct (and in my opinion there is no reason not to believe him) then I think they types of transfers we are trying to make could end up being done in the last few days of the transfer window (so everyone is going to have to be very patient)....I think it could be a very good few days for the SSN team with there love of drama and how they build it up over the last 48hrs

Interesting to hear fergie yesterday..."we will possibly make one ror 2 more signings"...if that is it and they only make one more its going to have to be a very very good one as if not and the squad they have (esp with Fletcher being long term.....and Vidic still recovering and going to need time to regiain full match fitness) they could fall behind....scholes giggs rooney cannt carry them continutally (esp not the first two) and chelski will get stronger we know that and arsenal have got more options (even if they lose RVP).....it could all get very very close between the top 4-5 next yearunlike last year when there was a huge gap between us, utd and the rest of the pack

Sorry but PSG seem to be suggesting otherwise not to mention Chavs who have spunked getting on for 200m in 18 months
If it´s a case of "one rule for them" then I also suggest Twatini faces humiliation in the courts , a case that may be brought against him and his UEFA cronies by our very own , the one and only, HHSM

Good post that. Rumour talksport have put out this morning is that Fletcher's career looks over, which is a shame for the lad. That also however means that they have to replace him, and more. I think they will make at least 2 more signings as like you say, if they don't they can look at 3rd being a successful season.

Carlos Tevez: Was wanted by AC Milan in January

AC Milan are set to renew their interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, Sky Sports understands.

In one of the true sagas of last season, Tevez spent most of the campaign on the sidelines after his public falling out with coach Roberto Mancini.

Milan tried and failed to sign him in January, before he returned to the City squad and helped them to their maiden Premier League title.

But now with Milan ready to cash in close to £50million with the sale of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris Saint Germain, they are ready to come back for Tevez.

Tevez has insisted he is happy at the Etihad, but City want to bolster their striking options and would consider selling the Argentine.

Whilst AC have the 28-year-old as their top target they could turn their attention to Tevez's team-mate Edin Dzeko, should they fail to land the South American.
