Juventus in for Tevez... Sky Italia. A boring and tedious rumour as Juventus are linked with everyone.

It does make me chuckle the way Serie A clubs still think they're A-list.

They're more deluded than Scousers.

Not as deluded as the Evertonians in my street who keep banging on about our dirty money etc!!!

If we actually got Thiago, Lescott would immediately become 3rd choice CB and cover for Clichy.
Which is why we won't sign him

Not sure which part of that is "why we won't sign him" but if you are suggesting that Bobby wouldn't prefer a Silva/Kompany partnership over a Lescott/Kompany partnership, you have very English tinted glasses on. We have very few players we can actually upgrade; Lescott is one of them.

would tevez go to juventus? i see no reason why he would, he's been in england for several years, has many friends at city, has a spot in our squad where he will get plenty of games, playing in one of the best teams in the world, fantastic wages etc... why would he swap this for juve at this stage in his career, when he has already talked about winding down and moving back to argentina?

what i hope will happen is that he sees off his last 2 years of his contract with no more fuss, then he can leave on a free to go back to Boca, having given 5 excellent years to city. I will be very happy if this is the outcome

So,...at the moment it looks as though we may be in for Ibra & T. Silva from AC Milan for Kolarov and Dzeko.

PSG want Tevez and Kolo Toure.

Then we buy RVP to replace Tevez.

Next we would want Martinez and a winger, (maybe Rodriguez - who is argentinian but plays in Chile) ???

Is this where we're upto at the moment ??

Bloody hope so ;)
Bloody hope not:(
Ibra for Dzeko is a bad deal.

Maybe...but Dzeko and Tevez for Ibra and RVP has CL contenders all over it.

not on the last 2 years' form we can't, the season kicks off in 5 weeks, mancini will certainly not install a new CB pairing this late on. when he eventually does, the new CB will be bought in the summer and phased in slowly, perhaps not taking a regular CB spot til 6 months later. Bobby has worked tirelessly to create this solid defence, it won't be as simple as putting thiago silva, new to the english game, into the team and expect him to have the same understanding with VK.

no thanks.I'll keep Tevez and Dzeko over Ibra and RVP.

Two players who have their weaknesses, but we know them, they know us.Ibra hasn't long in the tank nor does RVP for that matter.

i really feel that our 4 strikers are the perfect four; 2 nippy short arse run around forwards (kun and tevez), one target man (edin) and one in between the 2 (balotelli). a perfect balance of different options.

i think its crazy that people actually WANT 2 of our front 4 to go before next season

Best defensive partnership in the league 2 years running. You don't just break that up.

If we buy a CB it won't be to replace another but rather as cover/backup.

Hence we won't sign Thiago Silva imo

I news went to newsnow to check,

This is where you went wrong mate.

Now, now, it's hardly newsnow's fault what other online articles have as headlines, is there mate?

I don't know why you mistrust newsnow results, but search engine you use from the Thiago Silva story a month ago I'm sure will reslult in headlines like "Milan rejected PSG's bid".

Quite right! After all, can you imagine RVP or Ibrahimovic going on a 5 month golfing holiday in the middle of a season. Not a chance! Don't want either of them....

You consider last season an excellent year for Tevez?

I know he has gone to Barca but does anybody else think Jordi Alba would have been perfect for us

I think it is insane to think that Silva would come to a team and not slot directly into the starting lineup. But that is the beauty of opinions.

Generally true. But if you have a chance to sign one of the best 2-3 CBs in the world you break up the partnership in a heartbeat.

Who says we have a chance, and why would you want to break it up in the first place?

Yes I am listening but what you are saying is ridiculous. I have no idea if we will sign him...but if we have the chance and the bean counters think it makes sense we would do it because it improves the squad. You are suggesting we wouldn't improve on an area that can be improved on because it is already very good. I agree VK/JL are an excellent partnership. But it is obvious to most that Silva and Kompany would be better and would give Bobby what he wants: a ball playing CB.

A lot of people think we have a chance, otherwise we wouldn't be discussing it. I would break up any partnership if it could be replaced by a better partnership.
