Real Madrid?
I don't know, it's just a feeling, like we're making yet another statement, stamping our authority on the football world.

I am stumped to think who we can prise away from the bigger teams.
As am I which is why I'm waiting for a bomb to drop and surprise me.

Sorry I don't agree. Edin is a fantastic world class player and seriously underrated on here. Look at his stats, look at the goals he has scored. Played regularly and with the right service and he could break goal scoring records.

And no I'm not Bosnian. I'm a welsh blue of 40+ years standing (or sitting now perhaps). I for one hope Mancini's recent statement is correct and that he's edin nowhere!

i like him but please world class very far from it!

Dzeko is an amazing player and is the player who actually deserves the most thanks for winning the league, if hadn't got the breakthrough to make it 2-2 we would all have had a shit summer

it doesn't make him world class unfortunately!

Which is why I am waiting with baited breath at seeing who we will sign, not because of this window but future windows because I need to know who TH thinks are "Top drawer" players once we know who he thinks are top drawer should make it easier in future.

Players that would make my transfer window and who I think are top drawer.

RVP
Martinez
De Rossi
Sahin/Benega

Get me a stat that shows how amazing his first touch and a general ball control are ? I dont understand what the right service is if our midfield cant provide it, then where do you go to get better ?

Stats are great if you are playing a computer game, the reality is quite different.

Well we are all entitled to our opinion! And I'll back my own eyes thanks.

And as for not being able to jump Pudge which Dzeko was it that scored against Wigan, the classic against the Spuds and not forgetting that we would never have had Aguerroooooooo without Edin!

So we are all entitled to our opinion !!! but i can throw a little digg in to belittle others opinion....

But since you back your own eye's, you dont think his first touch let's him down, what is the correct service...

you see you made those point's but never gave an explanation as to why the team that scored more than anyone else in the leauge has an issue with service ?
What do the stats make of that ?

Errrrr sorry who was belittling who? All I said was that to me Dzeko is a fantastic player.

Yes he gets rusty if not played regularly. And he suffered from the Munich fall out more than most. But if I were the manager he would play. Now it's probably a good thing I'm not the manager and in Mancini I trust. If Edin has to go so be it. But if I'm asked he stays.

And 19 goals from a player who doesn't suit our style of play is not a bad return!

I like the players you have stated but IMO top drawer players who will make the World sit up and notice who we are signing would be like a bomb dropping would be players in the mould of

Ronaldo
Messi
Iniesta
Rooney
Neymar

And I don't see either of those signing

Hopeful but still confused but it keeps us guessing

I still think Alonso us getable at Real. He hates Ronaldo with a passion apparently and Real could sell him whilst having Khedira and Diarra there.

Sahin is getable too I'd say but only if they get Modric.

Regarding Barca, I'd say Alacantra, Pedro, Mascherano, Villa, Tello etc would all be sold before Iniesta. It'd he the player rather than club that pushed that move as Xavi is winding down they need Iniesta massively. Take him away and put Fabregas there is good but isn't te same, not even close imo.

Those are Atom bombs, Rooney because it hurts United and the others because they are amazing.

Bombs have sizes haha. I think TH means its about making a few quality signings which will be like bombs going off to rivals rather than total without Nuke stuff. I.e Tranny.

Also Real and Barca are the elite, they are the predator at the top of the food chain, selling key players would be like them conceeding territory to a prey. Only on their terms do players leave, both have taken from top clubs repeatedly and gave little away in return bar players they deem as surplus whom are surplus to requirement or haven't reached the level they were meant to.

Well they are resticted in squad size just like the rest of us and are still prone to mistakes, read somewhere Barca were ruing having sold Yaya to us and Real have made blunders as well Wes Sneijder springs to mind. If they want to sign new players they have to get rid just like the rest of us, whether they are at the top of the food chain or not. :-)

Not sure if Barca thought YaYa was surplus.

A game of bluff going on from Tevez camp and our side.

He wants Milan, but also knows we would like to sell to land Van Persie.

Mancini saying we are sticking with what we got throws ball back in his court.

But it all comes down to us not handing him a pay-off in trying to move him on.

In essence, how badly do they want Tevez, and how long we are prepared to allow Van Persie to consider his other options.

Both Tevez and Mancini have given themselves the fall-back option of nothing coming to fruition.

to be honest mate most of us know this as well as we know tevez and his stooges that work his strings...you mentioned there maybe 4 new signings apart maybe RVP any body else of significance you can point us towards?

I didn't. Tevez' latest line is that he is happy and settled in Manchester, at City.

RvP is such a risky, short sighted signing. I'm surprised, given his contract situation, we're really contemplating a. Selling one of the most prolific strikers in the league (when he's here) and b. Paying more than 12-15mil for a player with no sell on prospects who's one innocuous challange away from crumbling into biscuits.

It's not in line with our policy over the last few years, is strange given our formation/set up and makes 0 financial sense.
Well put

Tevez says he wants out = no loaylty bonus/pay off

Tevez says he wants to stay = top price for club, pay off for Tevez, pay day for Kia

RVP = World Class

Totally agree. Naive in the extreme to take Tevez's public utterances of loyalty at face value after what happened last season. Time to fuck him off and bring in RVP.

Tevez hit 4 goals last season and is 28 years old
RVP hit 30 goals last season and is 28 years old
We could sell Tevez for 25 mill and sign RVP for 17 mil and save a fortune on wages, thats a no brainer for me.

Madrid: Ramos, Alonso, di Maria
Barca : Alves, Puyol, Pedro

Would take Ramos in a heartbeat. Think he's a fantastic player. Can't see him ever leaving Madrid though.
