i`m sure if we were buying decent players we could have 4 or 5 players in now mate but we are shopping in harrods nowadays compared to aldi! i must admit though it is frustrating when chelsea walk on and just lump the required deal for hazard and their targets and bang its done?! we seem to take a while to sort ours! :-(

I understand what your saying, I just wonder if our decision making process is too bureaucratic? I realise there's big money at stake.
Mancini has been frustrated in the past and was slow to sign his new contract, apparently because he was not happy with his power at the club especially in player acquisitions.
As a manager you want players in as early as possible to work with them.

If he wasnt happy he wouldnt sign for 5 years

Just because he did eventually sign, doesnt mean he is now 100% happy with the transfer situation. I suspect he still feels frustrated.
I know there is work going on behind the scenes, it just appears each window we are one of the slowest clubs to get deals done.
The lack of adequate pre-season preparation with new players may effect our form next season.

I agree with you Di Matteo isn't good enough, I know that might sound stupid after he won the FA Cup and Champions League, But the luck they got along the way was unbelievable! I reckon he will be sacked before Christmas.
