You dont want much do you mate!

Id like to nail Kate Upton mate but i just cant see it!

Pedro and Sahin don't see much gametime and play in postions where Barca and Real have many other options. Both teams wan't to offload players to free up cash, seemingly.

Martinez is getable at a cost.

All would be bombs too.

Martinez buy out clause is 40 million euros= £32 million

Id be happy with him and RVP to be honest

Hence the at a cost.

I don't think he is worth that to be honest and nor is he a good CM, he's a CB and CDM. Sahin is the CM we need, Pizarro proved this and Sahin buys and sells him.

We need width too.

RVP is only needed if we sell a forward, if we don't then he is not needed.

Does that translate along the lines of "having sold Ibrahimovic, Milan ar elooking for a forward to replace him. A deal for Dzeko could be in place pretty quickly and today his agent believes it's a 70% chance it will happen."?

I think this is part of what Tolmie is eluding to with regards Martinez. He said something along the lines that we are talking to clubs about players they don't want to sell. If it were the case that we tabled a bid that matched his buyout clause we would be talking to Martinez's camp now. Maybe we value Martinez less and perhaps this is why talks etc are taking time to come to a conclusion. For Martinez you could insert any players name. I trust the club it will come up with the names we crave. Just have to be patient.

Has it been noted that Dzeko has not played any pary in our two friendlies so far, where Tevez and Aguero have?

I think Arsenal will sell RVP to the highest bidder, which means its a matter of time only and we will see him joining his old mates.

If you are correct, then Arsenal have nothing to lose in stretching this whole saga out throughout the window.

It's not as if Arsenal will spend the RVP money on new arrivals!

Van Persie's perceived transfer value right now is between £20m-£25m - exactly the same as Arsenal can recoup for securing Champions League football from one Prem campaign to the next.

Van Persie can only do so much in this whole stand-off.

Wenger was quite prepared to play Nasri in Arsenal's opening games last season, regardless of the fact he could have been seriously injured against Liverpool, kissing goodbye to £24m in the process.

For me, he has nothing to lose. They 'only' pay him £80k a week as it is.

They save themselves a bundle in not paying improved terms, and can possibly reconcile themselves Van Persie's value would be much lower next season, due to his age, if he was still under contract to them.

Call it currently £5m a year in wages, no more than a hypothetical £10m transfer value for a player approaching 30, next year.

Arsenal could easily justify holding him to his existing deal, there's a £10m profit margin, right there, in relation to him contributing to another top four finish this season.

It's by no means black and white, despite what we do.

Spot on Tolm.

Too many on here are giddy that the deal was agreed months ago, and the signing is imminent.

As I've stated on here today, if Arsenal decide to be cunts, then there's nothing City or RvP can do about it.

Many hurdles still to jump yet...
