'See Mancini has had much to say about RvP, Marwood and City's transfer dealings. And he's not happy. @DiscoMirror will be all over it #mcfc'

Let's see if there's a single quote this time!

Think it will be regarding this... although as you can read Mancini is avoiding RVP questions... Media cunts!! From Skysports website

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is keeping quiet over the potential signing of Arsenal captain Robin van Persie ahead of Friday's pre-season friendly with the Gunners in China.

City have been linked with the Dutch striker for much of the summer, although there have been reports that Mancini was told he must sell before making additions to his squad.

Van Persie has made it clear he will not be extending his Arsenal contract past the end of this season, and City's rivals Manchester United, as well as Juventus, have been credited with interest in signing him.

Mancini refused to be drawn when asked about Van Persie at a press conference in Beijing, saying: "It is difficult to say this at this moment because he is an Arsenal player and he is not our player.

"We know that Van Persie is a fantastic striker, but we have four strikers and with these strikers we won the Championship last year.

"But still, Van Persie is a top player. We can say different things about this - but he is an Arsenal player."

Not in charge

Reports have suggested City officials are blocking Mancini's attempts to sign the Arsenal skipper but the manager insists he is not in charge of transfers.

Asked whether he was disappointed with his lack of progress in the transfer market, the Italian said: "For this question, you need to talk to the man in charge. I am not in charge of these things."

"We have a man that works for this and... I think that we are hoping that they can do a good job."

What we have to realise is despite what is perceived as a lack of activity, City are committing themselves to the best part of £80m this summer on Komps and Silva before we even bring anybody else in.

That's the magnitude of where we are as a club these days.

I hope to read on my hols that Silva has followed his lead and couple more bombs have dropped.
TH are you saying VK's resigning his contract was one of the predicted bombs?..

I hate to sound ungrateful but I expected bombs to be signings rather than contract extensions.

Looking for bombs in the shape of Pedro and Sahin. A CB is needed to replace Kolo and Savic (would sell both), RVP only needed if striker is outgoing. Pedro and Sahin are lusts and with the Euro weak against the Pound I say let's go!

And what the fuck is Adebayor doing in New York. Just seen out there last few days?

Guy is taking the absolute piss but we should have good news in and out the next seven days.

When others tell you all is lost, I say ignore the bullshit and let's be sensible about this ;)

Any hint at who you were referring to?

Or was it Kompany's new deal?

Does sound very pissed off with Marwood there, remember similar stuff before Samir signed last year

If that quote at the end is the basis for his tweet then i fail to see how he's come to that conclusion. Its just the usual thing managers say to avoid further questions on the current standing of deals.

If the bombs are contract extensions then they aren't really bombs as these were expected to say the least. Come on Tolm, it's like a carrot dangling in front of our noses...

Big gun coming out to upset our rivals?

That immediately makes people think we are in for a worldy ala iniesta,Ronaldo etc etc but you have vehemently stated we are not.

This is going to get interesting for sure

Where does he mention Marwood by name?

Did TH ever comment on Neymar?

There are currently three world superstars in the game. Messi, the guy at Real Madrid and the Brazilian wonder kid. In fact some sports media company said Neymar is the most marketable sportsman in the world. Presumably because Brazil is such a populous country and their great footballers are a brand.

We appear to be taking the marketing side very seriously, hence Jackie Chan yesterday. What bigger statement than buying the next big thing in world football.
