Can someone please show me the "Let's all hail Marwood for signing Aguero" thread?

I'm not a Marwood fan myself but i think he's coming under a lot of unfair criticism of late where his hands are tied on a lot of issues.

If he's getting the blame for not getting players in then where's the praise when he captures the likes of Aguero, can't have it both ways?

Sorry but Marwood doesn't cut it for me, he is in over his depth !! No wonder the italian club owners try to flea fuck us when they are dealing with litte men like Marwood. We need someone who is renowned in football and has a great football and business brain, is it any wonder Kaldoon jumps in when Marwood is floundering to get the deals closed. In my opinion I would love to see Patric Vieira doing Marwoods job as he is well known and very well respected throughout world football.
Can you imagine being one of our transfer targets and having to deal with Marwood ??? the players agents must think fook me we can have some fun and games with this fukker and hopefully get stupid money !! Run that alongside having PV representing our club and I bet their outlook would be a lot differant !!

Having said all i have in defending Marwood (believe it or not i don't like him but that's another story) it hasn't helped not having a CEO.

In my opinion and this wont be popular amongst posters, i would like to see Kenyon in as our CEO.

No nonsense character, thick skinned, doesn't take any shit from agents and gets the job done.

In my humble opinion of course.

I don't think you're wrong, Is he not a blue anyway sure I heard that somewhere and yes I agree think he has done a good job for both clubs.

Probably not the best example. Khaldoon "the Closer" had to go to Madrid to get the deal done. Or not?

Perfect example if you ask me, he set the deal up, then it got stamped by the money men.

If your blaming Marwood for this summers lack of activity then your also blaming Khaldoon and the Sheikh.

In one corner you have a manager that wants to spend, spend, spend and in the other you have shrewd businessmen. I understand Mancini's frustration but he needs to be patient. You can't go all in on the first hand when your in a long tourney.

Mancini has the right to be annoyed, his job is to win titles with City, if he were to not win anything next year then he could lose his job if things go badly. Mancini has clearly identified to the board the players needed for him to kick on in the CL and retain the league title and he hasn't got them. I know our first XI is top class but our squad isn't, so entering next season without any additions will provide us with the same problems as last year. We're losing Yaya to ACON again, If Kompany gets injured/suspended then our defence goes to shit, our "back-up" creativity to Silva and Nasri is Milner and Johnson - what a huge step-down in quality that is. We need about 3 top quality signings this window and I think Mancini knows that, so to see it not happening is bound to frustrate him, no matter who's fault it is.

Don't agree

As an employee he has to respect the policy of the club on whatever they do whether he likes it or not.

If he's frustrated then bring it up with the top brass behind closed doors, don't air it in public, it's not professional, or has he aired it as an out if we don't do well this season? (that's just me being cynical)

Marwood signed off the contracts that he is now unable to shift (RSC and Ade)

If you don't think that makes him accountable.

It's all spin, Mancini would ideally get the club rid of Marwood as they'd probably consult him on a replacement.

It's not an attack, he knows what he's doing, he'll have been fully prepared or the questions that came up.

Wouldn't be suprised if Marwood is slightly holding back on deals as they could be used as a stick to beat him with by a incoming CEO.

He should have been in place before summer 100%

I presume he's being airing his concern "in house" through-out the summer and now there's just over a week till the season starts and nothings happened. Adebayor and Santa Cruz are still here and we haven't even come close to signing anybody. It's clear to see he's frustrated at the lack of activity and he has the right to be if it's stopping him doing his job.

For me, Mancini's latest comments tell me we are not signing anybody before the season starts.

Mancini clearly wants top class players to improve our squad, not 40m rated stikers etc but just very good back ups, and I cannot see players like Scott Sinclair for example being the right player to bring in.

He has not even made the England squad for the Italy game yet Johnson has - Johnson has hardly played and Sinclair has had the whole of the Olympics to show off!!

We are a Kompany or Yaya injury away from capitulation in my opinion and we need to sort some backups as soon as!

Imagine if we don't sign anybody?

In that case, don't read my posts (don't know where that came from, to be honest..... Think I heard someone say it recently)......

....(by the way, as you're clearly looking to apportion blame, I was neither logged in on the evening that he chose to flounce, nor have I cut off his electricity).

It's a shame that the transfer window coincides with school holidays...

It is (thanks for your kind words of support).

has tolmie done one again?

He's been very cute and clever with his comments, it's win/win.

He does well and he gets the praise, he does not so well and he already has his excuse "if only i had players early".

I don't blame him, i would do the same in his position

Have you considered that he may just be genuinely frustrated and pissed off? It's his neck on the line at the end of the day.

He might be, but he wouldn't say anything to the press if he didn't think it was in his interest.

It's politics.

Its always going to be the case if the success of his job is partly based on the succuss of someone else doing theirs.
