The ability of City to clinch deals is largely based on the prestige of our team, and the financial terms we offer. The competence of Brian Marwood does not come into it. in fact from seeing him operate as PFA CEO I think he's an able individual.

Imbelices! or more likely rags with an agenda

A better person in Marwood's role would be able to negotiate prices down or find ways to offload players like Liverpool did with Aquilani (£7million fee + £100,000/week wages off the books, bigger wages than Kolo or Santa Cruz, for someone all teams knew Liverpool considered a flop and didn't want). And I'm no rag, it's complete ignorance to say anyone criticising Marwood is an imbecile or rag. Is Mancini a rag because make no mistake he criticised Marwood today in a very public manner?
No offence but you are in no position to judge the competence or not of our negotiators. Largely speaking City's deals are more expensive than others for very obvious reasons.

mancini is in that position , and his judgemente couldn't be more clear and strong.

Have you considered that he may just be genuinely frustrated and pissed off? It's his neck on the line at the end of the day.

I'm sure there's 19 other managers in the Prem League that would swap places with him at the moment.

unfortunally (for you and the other xenophobic nationalists like you) seems they didn't deserve that swap

let me be more clear ; if marwood was a fucking spanish or italian and mancini was english i bet my two large balls you now would be here attacking the inept sport director. you and the others like you , i can see many here.

mancini was absolutely right when he said "when it come to fooball english are nationalist".

Why don't you just fuck off and stop trying to spin this into something it's not!!

I watch the video (its on youtube already), he had a hard time with these transfer questions started to speak worse English than he used too.:)

His English deteriorates quickly when he's angry, same after we lost last season. He's fuming at Marwood.

Mancini keeps his silence and we don't win the Premier League this season and he gets fired. He states he's not in charge of transfers and he's out of line. As for the Aguero signing, it's a lot easier when you can spend more than 35 million pounds on a player to sign him. One would hope our main transfer person would have the talent and skill to get rid of say... Wayne Bridge... without us having to pay him almost all his salary just so he isn't stinking up the training area.

Round and round we go.

Agreed. Mancini's opinion of Marwood couldn't be clearer if he took out full page ads in the media stating 'Marwood is an idiot'

I have some sympathy for Marwood's position given he is no doubt acting within the brief he has been given but his competence within that brief is being questioned by Mancini

Don't you think that this type of public airing of the club's dirty laundry is completely unnecessary? If the gaffer doesn't like Marwood or doesn't rate him then he needs to take that up with the owners. If the owners, which they seem to have done, disagree with him, he should surely just get on with things.

Hey big spender...

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120810/man-city-keen-south-korea-star-178346" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/ ... tar-178346</a>

Did anyone see him in the Olympics? Is he good enough to replace Kolarov?

Are you happy Mancini is unhappy?

the gaffer was unhappy last summer too, right up to transfer deadline day.
