Yes, but after the group stages, Chelsea had everything go their way even if they didnt necessarily deserve it in every match. If you dont call that luck, then i dont know what is.

Wasn't there a game around about the same time were one of the teams had to score a couple of goals in injury time to win a bit of a trophy?

That's the trouble with these "one in a million" type chances they're like buses............

when people actually realise that without luck you get fuck all in football the world will be oh so simple. :)

I keep hearing we only won the league on goal difference, panic panic. We amassed 89 points last season, it doesn't really get a whole lot better than that. The record in a 38 game season is I believe 93 points amassed by Chelsea in one of the Jose years.

I agree with you BUT the aim is not just to win the league, is it? The ultimate aim is to push forward in the CL, and our squad is not good enough to reach beyond the CL semis

Beyond the semis is the final for heavens sake. I would personally be delighted if we reached the semis, and if we did then anything can happen.

The points City got in the group stage is usually more than enough to progress but shit happened..when you get to the knockout stage its a lottery and you need that luck.

I really feel that we could do well in the CL,we are going in as Prem champs and that is a big bonus for us and teams will fear us.
