I happy to leave it to the club, and as a last choice, maybe, but I’d be surprised if the club would, and as they’ve shown they are happy to go without rather than take a short term view to a signing.

All comes down to money and making best use of it. Talk of Pogbs getting £400k pw to stay at the rags. If that is what he is worth then what will it take to sign an Mbappe or Haaland?

The preferred option would be a top level young striker but there has to be a limit to what you pay.

You know i'm a Haaland "fanboy", but Lewandowski is undoubtedly the best striker on the planet and I dislike Bayern for the UEFA and Sane situation so the Lewo deal would be perfect but... would most likely mean Bayern have Haaland.... oh the dilemmas but I'd take the following scenario:

Haaland > Bayern
Lewandowski > City
Vlahovic > Arsenal
Mbappe > Madrid
Salah > PSG
City extends Pep for 5 more years
Rags extend Ronaldo for 5 more years

Seriously want Pep to extend again, but, but if you'd have asked me that after that shambles in Porto last April it would have been a different respinse. That result was another one of those like Spuds 2019, Spuds 1981, Alf Grey 1980, and bloody Luton May 1983 that I have never got over. ( Although beating Spuds in Carabao last April helped a bit to redeem the Centenary Cup Final robbery).

As much as we need a striker, specialist LB, and cover for Rodri, I still do firmly believe the best signing we could make would be a Pep extension, even if only for another year or 2. Any extension to the time we with the greatest manager ever will do me.
