I think this is the play and that concerns me, on current views Bernie is worth two of felix and I wouldn’t even countenance that deal unless it was felix plus £100 million minimum.

However settled Bernie is, no one is sure. Looks happy but is he just knuckling down and waiting or is he happier now with his other half in town and things opening up more.

If the club think he still wants to go they will look to get best value now so could be a nightmare scenario for us loosing him. Be fair to the lad though it must be tough locked down in a foreign country.

Last thing I want to see though as I think he is actually as if not more important to the way we play than KDB.

If he would join for around 60-70M (which I would guess is his remaining book value) as an replacement for Torres, I'm on board. Could be some amazing piece of business upgrading Ferran to Felix for around 10-15M in fee (+ higher wages) if he works out.
But if it would be instead of Haaland it would obviously be a huge disappointment. Most alternatives would be to him (if not all), but if we miss out I would at least prefer someone with a good goal scoring record to be the alternative.

Even then, he’s definitely not a man to spearhead the attack. Why sign a false 9 when we already have about 5 players here who can play that role. I’d literally take richarlison or DCL instead of him

The quoted price for Felix which the Journalist said before another Journalist said Felix was untouchable, was 63 million pounds. That’s what city would need to pay. That would allow Atletico to get Darwin Nunez
