Walker although he hasn't lost his pace is coming to the twilight of his career so when he retires Couto would be his natural replacement

You also need some space to run into, pace becomes irrelevant against teams that just sit in their own box for the majority of a match which is what most of our games become.It’s been a staple of English football since the 19th Century.
It’s a bit like playing out from the back.
People need to be convinced that it can work and if we don’t win a game, it’s because we’ve got no pace etc.
People need to remember how David Silva always popped up at the byline in the inside left position. He had no pace, but knew when to go.
Quick feet and good footballing intelligence is much more important than pace in those games.

So what do you reckon raz-wise, will we be looking to buy an attacker should he leave or stick with what we got?That's what United made the mistake of doing for their top players...
