IMO he would immediately compete for a starting spot (as 8) with Bernardo/Gundogan. Besides, he probably can cover the 6 position if needed

Delap to saints is good. Broja will go back, Longs contract will be up and they often play two up front. A great side for developing players and often stick with players not chop and change all the time.

Agree with this strategy, but would Bazanu be better served continuing to develop?

Think an older but capable #2 who is okay riding the bench would be ideal. Potentially even a Steffen swap?

Bazunu is going to leave either on loan or permanently with a buyback.

Nothing to do with me what we pay him. Only thing I care about really is , does Pep want him and think he has a place, does he want to stay. If yes to both all good.

What about Angus Gunn ? Qualifies as club trained and has experience in the Prem. Would be bargain basement with Norwich going down. Would probably accept a minor role.

if delap is going out on loan, if he is deemed good enough for a premier league team i think brighton would be perfect, they play very similar to us and could do with a forward who can put the ball in the net
