As cover he was decent (although in his last season he was). Bringing in an extra expensive CB signing (who would still need time to adapt) would be pointless given who we have currently have.

Hard to say...did City know he wouldn't accept the amount they were offering all along?...I suppose if he would have taken it they would be OK with it...but based on his projected role going forward and his current place on the team he was never going to get the numbers he was looking for, let alone a guarantee regarding playing time...that said, good luck Raz...but I believe we made out big time...Nonsense, they offered him a new contract because they wanted him to sign a new contract. Nothing more.

Rodri is a world class DM...and a below average CB who would and has gotten smoked against any team with attacking quality...With the Phillip's arrival, Pep will also have an option to move Rodri there - if needed..
