If we get Cucurella in we'll be fine. We wouldn't be letting players go unless we have replacements lined up. Looks like we will also be brining in a Ake replacement too.A bit worried about our depth in the squad if Zin leaves. It's a bit small with all the competitions next season including the world cup
No more nonsensical than yours. That’s a nonsensical argument really. We aren’t buying Cucurella to play the same amount of games as he did last season.
Laughable. He isn’t a better offensive fullback than Zinchenko. Anyone with a pair of eyes can see that.
What he is, is a natural left back, better at defending than Zinchenko.
I wasn't arguing the defensive side as much, more offensive. But you also have to untick the box which hides players who haven't played many minutes.
Per 90 is definitely more valid than per season, but players will often have impressive spells over a short period, so the more minutes they've played IS important.
Playing most matches also means you're playing the best teams. Last season Zinchenko played 56 minutes of football against other top six sides. Against the teams in 7th and 8th, he played 180 minutes, and we conceded 5 goals.
Maybe nothing to do with him, but it does mean that when he played last season, we conceding 1.9 goals per 90 minutes against top eight sides. Now, is that because he was playing in already weakened sides? Ultimately it could just be a quirk, but indicates that sample size does matter when you're looking at per 90 figures.
Why is it harder? Couldn’t it be argued getting regular game time is easier to find consistency so easier to have better stats? Thanks for the reference site.
It’s a double edged sword. It’s far harder to create 1.3 chances per 90 for 35 games than 1.4 chances per 90 for 15 games.
I think that is what Pep enjoys. I reckon Pep is loving training at the minute with Phillips, with Fernandinho there was nothing more to coach.Im not too concerned about the squad size, more so about how quickly the new players pick up Pep's system.
It’s harder because you have to do it again and again. Why is it harder? Couldn’t it be argued getting regular game time is easier to find consistency so easier to have better stats?
If true I’d expect a replacement for Sterling, the fact we are confident on signing Cucurella or another left back and a left footed CB replacement for Ake. Zinchenko adds a lot of depthOrenstein bomb. Zinchenko to Arsenal possible.
