It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

That’s far from ok. We should be bloody aiming to win it every season, and expecting to do so now we’ve signed Haaland. It would be very defeatist and weak to concede the title for the want of a full back after we’ve finally got our world class striker.

Make hay while the sun shines; we have Pep, and Haaland - don’t piss away the chance to dominate by bottling paying for a proper full back so Walker & Cancelo don’t have to play over 60 games each!
One billion % spot on! You don't run out KDB, Haaland, Bernardo, Rodri, Foden, Dias, Ederson, Stones, Walker, Laporte, Mahrez, Gundo, Cancelo, Phillips, Grealish, etc. etc. under the best manager in football to play the bridesmaid, EVER! If it happens that's another question for another day. Meanwhile we get a fucking proper LB (or 2) and go for it all, Prem, CL, FA Cup and whatever else their is.

The squad is fantastic and no other team in the league (barring Liverpool who believe they have the best players in every position) would think that our midfield, forward line and central defenders were not the best. Our first choice full-backs are also among the very best. What we need, IMO, are two back up full-backs, either recruited or from the academy and then we will have THE best squad of players.

Love how there's one report about pep being unhappy with the balance (a fair and balanced assumption based on the standings of the squad) and many are using it to pretend their comments of the club being an utter fucking disaster are actually spot on.

I love how some posters lack any concept of balance altogether.

Their attitude isn’t in question, but our squad depth certainly is.

While depth important, pep say he prefer small squad. It's makes far more easier to keep everyone happy rather than bigger squad.

We are going the same problem every year if we keep having big squad for depth, many player will constanstly asking for leave because they was unhappy for playing time. I mean Pep is godly having to manage this many quality player, but he only just human and he can't make everyone happy with his decision on who's going to play more amongs player full of international and quality player.

Yes without a doubt. I just like taking the pressure off sometimes by underplaying things so anything more is a bonus:)

My balanced opinion is better than your balanced opinion. They call me “The Balancer”

I think our squad is too thin and some mistakes have been made and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Pep has indeed voiced his concerns.

At the same time we have also done some brilliant work in the transfer market and I wouldn’t swap our players, staff, manager or owner for anyone as they’ve been brilliant.

I am a happy clappy blue with damp underwear.

Beat that Mr so called @Coatigan if you can.

Shoulders back. Now get back in there and smash it all up.

I think the point is that (almost) everyone, I would hope, thinks we are weak at the back without a new senior full back or, at least, some more cover. There is no problem in saying that. But those of us who aren't prone to panicking are willing to give the management team the rest of the month to come up with their back-up plan. I think they are well able to come up with something that will keep Guardiola happy.

I am slightly surprised/worried there hasn’t been any links to a left back. Was expecting something to be in the press by now

I'm assuming to Pol since he is the one posting it.

Do we think Guardiola is still discussing things like that with Ballus now he is fully paid-up Athletic reporter? I would be surprised given the watertight nature of the rest of the management team. He probably heard it via - via.
