PSG bidding and allegedly personal terms already agreed. Mendes’ mouthpiece Duncan Castles reporting it in the mail.
As much as castles is a nob he does have a track record of saying what Mendes wants him to.
Precisely mate - he says what Mendes wants him to. That doesn’t mean he’s telling the truth.
It’s clear Mendes is trying to make something happen in the final week of the window - I think we all know Bernardo wants Barca, and if they can find the cash to pay us the fee we want, we’ll grant him his wish.
This PSG piece is such an obvious attempt to try and force City, and Barca in particular, into action that I don’t know why anyone is giving the substance of it the time of day.
Castles is Mendes’ lapdog, sure - but don’t take that to mean what he says is in any way accurate.
We all know what Bernardo wants. His girlfriend and his manager have told us this in clear and unambiguous language only this week.
And it isn’t PSG.
So think about why they’re being mentioned.
It’s a clear attempt to push City and Barca to the negotiating table with a week to go in the window.
I don’t know why so many are struggling to see this for what it is.

Oh yeah I see it and this €70m low ball supposed bid is a set up for a low bid from Barcelona of say €75/80m not what we have asked for and set the fee at €100m!
I see a bid from Barcelona incoming now..

I’d be interested to see what their bid is.
I’m not as against selling Bernie as most are. He clearly wants to leave, and I’m old enough to have learned by now not to get too attached to the players anymore.
If he wants out, I’d prefer we let him go - but it has to be on our terms, not some lowball mockery from a club we know can’t really afford him. And we need a replacement.
If Barca can come up with a genuine offer acknowledging the value of the player - to us and to them - then I’d take it as long as we can strengthen the team in the process.

Yep think we would sell for €80/85m just because if Barcelona bid that much Silva will say that’s is a good fee and the most we would of got for any player then the club will have to make a decision! knowing Pep likes happy smily players he might say let him go! The problem is who we going to get to replace him? In such a short time of the window open…

Don’t know am sure I read a few weeks back that if a bid does come in for silva it be very late in the window because that’s when the Spanish league wage cap resets and the first instalments of the tv money comes in!
