Except Maddison probably wouldn't even cost half of what we paid for Grealish.
With only one year on his contract next summer certainly helped that.

nah I won't mind if maddison is a squad player who plays less than 10 games a season. but saying we should aim to lower our expectation is how you go back to mediocrity and insignificance. especially when our opposition are signing the likes of Enzo and caecido. don't matter what pep thinks it is upto our higher management to manage squad quality.I get it, you don't like him.
Pep does, and he's not doing a bad job of this managing lark.
There are very few people like Kev, so we need to temper our expectations on a like-for-like.
What if they were called Maddisoni and Chillwelho?
That's good to hear, i'm hoping Foden takes Gundogan's place in midfield next to Rodri and Bellingham. We don't need a lot of players, we need three key, top shelf ones.
A top class midfielder, a full-back for both sides.
Pep has made his mind up on Rico, as he has done on Ake. He loves Jack.
Walker won't be going anywhere just yet.
Phillips isn't going anywhere, nor Mahrez and Pep wants Gundo to stay for another year.
Anything else is dependent on Laporte and Bernie leaving in the summer.
Foden will become even more important and receive extra responsibility.
City spend £300m this summer on quality not quantity.
I just thought you’d have the answers is all.I'm not paid millions for it.
We have scouts all around the different leagues, you're telling me after extensive searching, James Maddison was the answer?
Like I said, it was the same on here in the summer with being told Pep and Txiki know everything and Phillips will be an astute signing...
not at all. a player like zincheko and gundo are fundamentally different players even if they are both midfielders. just because you are a midfielder does not mean you can put any midfielder into the fullback position. that is why gundo will not work while zinchenko did work as a fullback.possibly yes. Zinchenko was an attacking player as well, with only his tactical awareness and ball retention that made him suitable to left back yet he's our best left back of Pep's reign (possible exception of Cancelo at his peak)
correct. same reason why perrone will not make a good fullbackNo mate because he isnt quick and hard enough

I’ll stick to trusting the club. Not failed so far. Grealish is a league winner. He will be again this season, and more.
Should Maddison, Bellingham and Chilwell come in it will be after Pep and the top brass believe they can fit them into the squad and make them perform to our standard. And that’s all we can ask.
He was a £75m player at best but Aston Villa knew we would pay the release clause so the told us to pay it or get lostGrealish should have cost half of what we paid for him.
