nah I won't mind if maddison is a squad player who plays less than 10 games a season. but saying we should aim to lower our expectation is how you go back to mediocrity and insignificance. especially when our opposition are signing the likes of Enzo and caecido. don't matter what pep thinks it is upto our higher management to manage squad quality.

Foden will become even more important and receive extra responsibility.

That's good to hear, i'm hoping Foden takes Gundogan's place in midfield next to Rodri and Bellingham.

I really can't see Gundo being a first team regular even if he went to Barcelona, so if he can accept a lesser role then great, he'd still be club captain too.

Seeing how well Enzo Fernandez is doing, it's baffling really that we didn't sign him in the summer, especially for approx £10m. He would've been saved us a fortune!
 
Really surprised we haven’t brought 1/2 players in. Cancelo gone, stones out. Laporte & Dias still not fully fit we are really stretched. Add to that Gundy looks shattered & Kev, foden well out of form we really don’t have the squad people think.

We don’t seem to be any closer to winning champs league that’s for sure. A very good chance we win nothing this year unless our form changes quickly

Expect a very big summer & hopefully it’s already sorted.

I just thought you’d have the answers is all.

I’ll stick to trusting the club. Not failed so far. Grealish is a league winner. He will be again this season, and more.

Should Maddison, Bellingham and Chilwell come in it will be after Pep and the top brass believe they can fit them into the squad and make them perform to our standard. And that’s all we can ask.

not at all. a player like zincheko and gundo are fundamentally different players even if they are both midfielders. just because you are a midfielder does not mean you can put any midfielder into the fullback position. that is why gundo will not work while zinchenko did work as a fullback.

You can criticise the club, it is allowed.

Grealish is a league winner yes but he hasn't been the pivotal part of it which is disappointing. Certainly hasn't lived up to expectations.

Which is why I thought we would go a different direction than going for mediocre to decent English players.

No you aren't paid millions for it and the people that are have delivered title winning squads for 4 of the last 5 years so think they have earned the trust of those of us that don't know so much.

Well you can't just go adding Phillips into the equation :)

Maddison is very good, although a bit of a bellend. Chilwell is very good, although often injured.

exactly this. but the names are mediocre english players not even the top prospects in the world who the club of our stature should be aiming for.
