It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Mahrez, Sterling and Jesus all entering the final year of their contracts. Would be happy for any or all to extend but we should be looking to sell any that don't.
You can’t shift 3 wingers one summer. Sterling seems to be still in option for a new deal and I do think City would not be totally against going into the season with Mahrez and Sterling on their last year, proving if they fit with a striker and hungry to stay. Jesus getting city 40-60m is massive and he seems to push for it, the other two aren’t.

Exactly we are going to win the league and should be in the champions league final, we are an incredible team this isn’t the summer to start selling key players and rebuilding

I don't have an answer for you on that, perhaps Mendy would want to leave the UK anyway if he avoids prison?

Something in that regard is online now - not sure if he will reintegrated or city will let him run down his contract quietly IF (big IF) he is innocent

My thoughts are that Gabby will be going, Raz will run down his contract and get little game time as bottom of the senior players choice for a game & Mahrez will have a blinding season connecting with Alfie Jr.

I think Sterling extends for a good amount of time 3/4 years and Mahrez either extends 1/2 years or they go. But I can’t see us deciding to sell just because the contracts are getting to the end I expect renewals are the first option. Jesus is going because we have signed Haaland.

Talk of a clause makes no difference either way, same as Aguero
I agree it makes little or no difference in terms of the player staying in the event a clause actually exists. My comment simply drew attention to the fact that speculation regarding such a clause, together with the 'stepping-stone' nonsense, is all part of a concerted media campaign of negativity since the deal was was announced.
