It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I agree it makes little or no difference in terms of the player staying in the event a clause actually exists. My comment simply drew attention to the fact that speculation regarding such a clause, together with the 'stepping-stone' nonsense, is all part of a concerted media campaign of negativity since the deal was was announced.
That's my point there was speculation with Aguero and Silva. Non of it mattered and doesn't now with Haaland. So whether there is a clause or there isn't has no relevance and there is no need for anyone to bother about it.

Talk of a release clause (should one exist) also feeds into the 'stepping-stone to Real Madrid' narrative fabricated by the red-shirt obsessed media.
The more flapping the media do about any decision we make, the more it indicates we have made the right call.
I am loving it already and he hasnt even kicked a ball for us.

Everyone keeps stating that RCs are just a normal part of contracts with Raiola clients...do Pogba and DeLigt have RCs?...I don't believe so...Regardless, whether EH has one or not the idea that all Raiola clients have RCs is not true...

De Ligt does

I can see a report from 2019 stating that Pogba had one at 110 million and this link talks about de Ligt’s. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if that lot don’t trigger it or buy him for less this summer.

Thanks...DeLigt's RC is apparently $150 mil and becomes active this Summer...no one is going to pay that amount for DeLigt...not an indictment on him...but he may as well not have one...

Okay? Haaland’s is apparently a lot and barely anyone can afford it so he might as well not have one…

That's not what I'm talking about, but since we've gone there, DeLigt is not Haaland...there are more than one club who would pay a $150 mil RC in 3 years time for Haaland if he wanted out...even $200 mil...PSG refused to grant Verratti a RC...and I have never heard a single mention of a Pogba buyout clause throughout his soap opera of a tenure at MU...my point is simply just because Raiola was his agent it doesn't entail an automatic RC...if City granted him one it means they had to in order to sign him...that may have been the same for anyone I'm sure...personally I don't give a rat's ass if Haaland has one or not...I ecstatic that he signed with us...I was commenting on what I believe is a false narrative, that Raiola = automatic RC...

I was told DeLigt does not...At what amount?...Verratti def does not have one...I'm just making the point that all of Raiola's big clients do not have a RC...
Verratti isn’t a Raiola client
