I mean Liverpool have Fabinho and Madrid have Casemiro but they're the two front runners

With Dinho leaving we have 4 players for the midfield 3 positions...with gundogans situation unclear, we should be going big for this type of player, ones that will be among the top 5 in their position for the next 10 years

Think a more defensive minded midfielder is priority as an injury to KDB or Bernardo we can still call upon Foden or Grealish to fill in there whereas if we lose Rodri we're reliant on either Gundogam (who's never shown he can play there) or I guess Ake (can't see Pep trusting a 18 year old Lavia)

I think there’s less rotation with the DM position though so if it’s a player than can only play 6 then they’ll need to accept a back up role. I think we will keep Gundo for another year, sign a low maintenance back up dm like Phillips or Kamara and then sign Bellingham next summer.
 
I'd try and get Leandro Paredes from PSG. He's in the last year of his contract and his mate Poch is surely gone. Best available DM for me. Bit of a cnut as well. I know we don't typically do deals with them, but they may be tempted to take the cash seeing they have to fund Mbappe. Also hearing they are trying to sign Dembele from Barca as well.

We’re not signing anyone from PSG (and Paredes would be one of the last I’d take)

seen no rumors of him to us from outside Portugal.

Maybe this summer's Nuno Mendes.
