Ake and Raheem would be £110m.
They didn't really want to pay that, so we have proposed a solution.
It would mean James and £40m coming to us.
Thoughts?

Feels like the preamble to them deciding to just go for Raz? Maybe I’m wrong but I still feel it’s more likely Ake stays. They’d have to really stump up the cash.

As long as we got Cucurella I don’t think we’d be short in defence if we allowed Ake to go.I’d be quite happy to see James in a City shirt, but with Cancelo and Walker already at our disposal, I wouldn’t describe us as ‘very short’ at right back. They also have decent injury records. If Ake is to be sold I’d be far more concerned about our levels of cover at centre half, where Stones and Laporte are regularly on the treatment table….
That‘d mean we had an additional full back, which added to Phillips now being able to act as back up for Rodders would mean we’d have ample solutions at the back should we hit an injury crisis, and that’s before we factored in any youth player like Mbete being required.
Walker, Rodders and Phillips could all play central in an emergency, always difficult to keep 4 top drawer central defenders happy.
It's not though really, is it.
We are selling players on the fringes, non-starters.
Raz, Gabby, Ake, Zin, Steffen, Torres, Bazunu, Fern, Gyani, Egan-Riley, Edozie, Porro.
That's almost £285m right there. All not guaranteed starters or fringe squad.
Haaland, Alvarez and Phillips in so far @ £110m.

We'd be getting our pants pulled down, spanked, and pants left down. In my humble opinion.
James is a perfect pep playerI just don't see it with James. Walker and Cancelo both a level above in different ways. I'd just sell Ake and replace him.

James is about as good as we could get,a Micah Richards with technique.
It would be phenomenal,hence why I can't see it.

I've said all this window, nothing is coming as a surprise to the Club.
If you include the Torres money, we are probably looking at sales in the region of £260m, should Ake and Zin join Raheem and Gabby.
We have spent £110m so far on Haaland, Phillips and Alvarez.
