We've just given Rodri a new 5 year contract and sign Phillips for that role too?

If we were gonna go for Bellingham, I'd have thought it would be instead of Phillips, not as well as?

Bellingham is not a defending mid. He plays like a 10 or 8, a bit like Gundo for us. Of course he can do a makeshift as a defending midfielder but it is not a good idea...

TBH He won't transfer anytime before the world cup.

Bellingham is more of a 8 than a 6 I’m sure he played in a 8 against us but he has probably played 6 before. I do reckon we will lose two midfielders tho next year in Bernardo and gundo

I think dortmund wouldn’t let him go this season unless they still had him on loan so they can replace him next season.

I don't think that he can step into Bernardo's role very soon. Bernardo has very good ball retention skills and carries/controls the ball very well with great stability. Safety first is the rule for such a rule in deep area.

Bellingham loses the ball a bit too much to play that role - and currently his style is more Gundo like - he can do some nice link up play in the midfield and he can arrive in the box, make 3rd man run and score in the box.

If my quick maths are correct, there's currently €14.8m of his 2017 €222m transfer fee left on their books*, so I would expect that to be the around the number they ask for as a transfer fee.

The motivation for PSG here is offloading his wages because they can't afford Neymar+Messi+Mbappé's new deal while also having a functional competitive squad around them.

Like Juventus selling Ronaldo, the fee is an afterthought.

Quick maths working out, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Signs for €222m on a 5 year deal. 222/5 = 44.4
2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 amortisation = 44.4m pa.

Signs 3 year extension in 2021
2021, 2022 amortisation = 14.8 pa

Outstanding amount = 14.8

I'm thirty pages behind so apologies if someone has said the same thing but the contract automatically extended out to 2027 so I don't think this year would amortize out by 14.8?
