It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Everything you've said is correct. And the solution is so crystal clear...

A technically superb athlete who can play AM, CM and RW. Who is great at deadballs, has great passing and crossing technique. Might even be a better shot takes than anyone other than Messi and Mbappe, great pal of the Viking machine. Has a buyout clause. And has publicly stated he'd like to move. And we have a great relationship with his club.

I can't remember a prospect more perfect for a City transfer.

I have convinced myself this is going to happen. It's just going to come as a surprise quiet transfer :)

I am going to wish it into existence.
Whose this?

I've warmed up to the idea of signing him but 100M for Declan fucking Rice just seems crazy...
Never been massively impressed with him. He’s good but I thought when watching Phillips and Rice together for England when Phillips was in-form, that Phillips was the better player.

Rice looks a decent top 6 Prem player, but he’s not a £100m player we should be perusing in my opinion.

This time next year we don't get a transfer fee.

He's not worth costing us £40m for a guy intent on leaving for free and well into his thirties.
We didn't get one for both Ferna or Gundo either. Both left the club with legend status. Both were still needeed around regardless of them being in their last year of their contract.

If Mahrez goes I'd go for a very good striker due to there not being many good wingers about.

3 top forwards could make up for a lack of goals coming from wide positions.

Don't laugh now but ... Kane, Toney, Mitrovic, Osimhen, etc??? :-) Sorry even I can't suggest this without laughing but still we need more options in terms of scoring if Mahrez is off....
Really?

Kane; not happening - we have Haaland and no chance we spend £100m or deal with Levy (although I would love him in this squad!)
Toney - banned for 9 months and not good enough once available
Mitrovic - Really??
Osimhen - latest new kid on the block and apparently £100m+, so no reason why we are getting involved in the bidding.

We have Haaland and we have Alvarez, even losing Mahrez, no chance we are shopping for a new striker.

I know you said it tongue-in-cheek and laughed, whilst doing so… but no chance we get involved with any high profile striker. Maybe an up and coming one, but none of the above. That said, I would love Kane playing behind Haaland, but that ain’t happening.

Who we talking about? Dominik Szoboszlai?

£100m plus Laporte and Cancelo for Pedri.

They would snap our arms off.
Dream signing but would this be a case of getting a player who will only pine for Barca in a year or two?

City lack a creative spark. We have plenty of ball carriers but apart from Phil we don’t have someone who can split the defence or find Haaland. It will be our undoing if we can’t find such a player. Maddison might fill a hole until someone else comes along ?

Kev needs managed. The drop off in creative output once he is either not fit or suffering burn out is stark. No coincidence Haaland stopped putting the ball in the net. The supply dried up.

Apart from FDJ and he won’t leave Barca!!!
