Hopefully one of the players that will improve loads in his second season. Was one of Englands best players at the Euros, so there’s definitely a player in there. I have no problem with players not being quite good enough in their first season, my problem with Phillips is he didn’t look arsed a single time he played for City. Was just jogging around looking lazy and not interested. Having some doubts on his mentality based on interviews etc. I think he’ll be a good player for us, but he’s far from irreplaceable. Zubimendi or Lavia would be very good signings

You obviously don't remember when we signed Rodney Marsh then. We definitely lost the league that season.

Arsenal appeared to be flying towards the title but absolutely bottled the league last season. We took full advantage of it, as the best teams do.

Like I said, it's all about ability and mentality. City are masters of both. That's why the rest of English and European football fear Pep's City.

Why would he move to Arsenal or Liverpool? Same role there? Looking at his development last season he’d definitely get more time for City than Phillips would.
