Agreed, we need to start being stronger at times with players no matter how amazing they have been? Business is business so say letting KDB, Bernardo and then types leave on frees just isn’t it for me, it’s about selling and reinvesting at the right time and if Vinny wants Stones and an honest conversation happens then do the deal and get either Branthwaite or De Ligt in.

The Germany international joined on a free transfer from Manchester City last summer. He has since made 51 appearances for the club, starting 45 of those games. It is costing us in transfer fee, circa 5-10m a year. I can't see the club doing that every year till his contract runs out, even assuming we pay nothing to his wages. Which I believe we paid at Bayern but not at Barcelona.

Unless Ilkay wants to move then that is pretty shabby. He was great for them last season and has been one of the best players at the Euros. If he does move I hope it is on his terms and to a club where he will be appreciated.
