Al Ahli have already bid for Mahrez, Bayern have confirmed interest in Walker saying that he wanted to speak with Pep yesterday, Cancelo was out the door already, Bernardo has been banging on about leaving for 2 years and Laporte was told he could go this summer a few months ago.

How is Pep surprised that any of these players have told him they want to leave?

I‘m guessing they all want to go but none of them have moves firmed up and the club is reluctant to spend on replacements until they are confident each one of them is out of the door.

Then what is the whole "Pep is pissed and disappointed because players have now told him they want to leave"? The season starts in like two weeks? In any other season replacements have been here by now and you knew who's staying and who's leaving. Sterling to chelsea and jesus to arsenal were already signed by now, so for the team to ONLY receive words TODAY from players that they wish to leave just feels extremely reactive. This could have been sorted a month ago.

That’s the only reasonable explanation, if it’s Bernardo then he should have put in a request soon after Istanbul after the dust had settled. It has to be Mahrez and Walker that have upset the apple cart .

Not really up to him now though is it? He has convinced Bernardo to stay twice. Now it’s the 3rd year, just a case of valuation, whoever matches it Pep won’t stand in his way after.

That valuation is going to be significantly higher than previous windows though. Can see City saying that Rice is the bar, and Bernardo just won a threepeat treble.
