It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

The rags were scouting him in 2021 and agreed terms with both the player and his club for £4.5m, then backed away from the deal allowing Brighton to swoop in a few weeks later.

They were recommended him by Antonio Valencia. Seems like everyone in Ecuador knew how good Caicedo was but only Brighton took the punt on him. To be fair Visa/immigration might have been an issue for the bigger clubs.

Yes, I mean it might change once I get in immersed and caught up in the hurly-burly of another league campaign, but at the moment I’m still in the afterglow of what we’ve done. We basically completed football last season, and so if we didn’t win a trophy for the next 5 years, I honestly don’t think I could complain.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wanna see us get relegated, but if we “only” finished say top 4 next season, and didn’t win any trophies I’d still be happy.

Oddly, cos we’ve never had chance to win them before, the 3 biggest games of the season for me are the European Super Cup on 16 Aug and the (hopefully) two World Club Cup games in December.
Those are the ones I really want this season.
4-in-a-row, only because it's never been achieved before.

No issues with the work permit, they just missed the opportunity probably due to their usual incompetency.

This is a very good article that covers such and his obvious talent

How magnificent would It be If little old City were the first team EVER to win 4 In a row, and yet the media would still bring the rags name Into the conversation In some form or the other, to keep them significant.

Gundogan and Mahrez leaving is all about succession planning.
Love the pair of them but they both reached the age where decline is not far away.
Trying to compare McAtee with Mahrez is unfair. Mahrez has had a great career thus far. McAtee is just starting out and let’s back him- he’s one of our own.

Last 18 months we’ve sold 3 forwards/wingers (Ferran, Sterling and Mahrez) and not signed a single replacement (Haaland replaced Jesus). I think we need another winger, unless Bernardo is used out wide full time, but then we’d probably need another midfielder
And don’t forget we are banking on kdb being fit all season because if he goes down for any number of games we have a big problem . Still say that these charges against us are stopping us from pulling the trigger on any big money signings which will benefit us and teans are getting stronger . When you look arsenal last season it was only inexperience that ended up costing them the he title and now they have got alot stronger as have Liverpool who have signed two top players but we atm are selling players and hoping our team who have been really successful with trophy after trophy will go again which they could but they also could have a massive hangover and fall away this season I mean this season is so important as we could do 4 in a row which has never been done .

Eventhough I want another exciting entertaining star to replace Riyad, I think we should be ok with what we already have.

Jack, Bernardo & Foden should be good enough to fill the RW/LW positions.

As well as Alvarez, Palme & Gomez to fill in when required.

Palmer and Gomez not good enough.
