Kovacic has never been creative in his career - thought maybe Pep can transform him?Think we have loads of creativity, may lack a little depth but that can be fixed.
Haaland,
Grealish. Alvarez/ Kovacic. Foden /KDB. Bernardo
more creative than the pack. Yes we need to add a couple of players to that for depth, but nothing suggesting we won’t add a couple of creative players.
Grealish just doesnt do enough in that sense...he needs to step up as do bernardo and Foden
Alvarez....well he is a very good player but he is still trying to learn this new role....
We saw it in both the Arsenal game and Seville game....we lacked a lot of creativity and Haaland was completely isolated in both games feeding off of scraps

They got mullered at our place. Absolutely blitzed. They barely laid a glove on us, home and away.They were by far the best team that came to our place last season.
They'll be a danger in the Champions League next season.
I would love to see the Rags get them, Bayern would maul them.

a midfield creator is a must with top skills off the ball, happy to press and track back. not manyon the market that would fit us. de Jong probably the best option but unlikely one.
dont think pep likes Foden in the middle. he has good moments when played in the middle but does not give us that rhytm we need there. expect foden feature most often from the wings but overall if with Gundo off, and KDb out for long period if Foden cannot hold down the middle position now he never will.
also he wastes a bit more chances he should, not very clean with his final touches front of goal but that is something he can work on improving.

no one....Pep will have to find another wayNot so much a risk taker, as more like a playmaker! A player who does not need to look as to where a player is, rather than know that a player will be there! DeBryne & Haaland have that connection! Who can replace King Kev short & long term is the question??
We cant go back to the false 9 as we wont/cant drop Haaland so others will have to really step up - we had kDB and Gundo last year..we have suddenly lost both and we havent replaced them and have 2 weeks to do so if we are going to usethe transfer window.....issue is you cant replace KDB and Kovacic as good as he is is not a replacement for Gundo as he is has different talents but creativity and goal scoring upto now are not them

The concern for me is that Haaland has looked completely isolated in two out of our 3 games so far against decent oppostion..I fully expect the same to happen vs Newcastle and him to be feeding off of scraps......We may have to accept the pragmatic approach and just win games 1-0.

The effect of not having a playmaker in the middle could be worse than we thing as it will have a knock on effect...Though if one person can work it out its Pep
