It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

We have to hang onto Kdb until we find the best replacement. This transfer window is very important for us, so we can't mess it up. We really need to bring in top-notch players to stay competitive. Our team needs smart players with creativity and technical skills, who can perform without any doubts. We can't repeat the same mistakes as last year by signing average players, or else we won't even make the top 4, especially if KDB and Berna leave. Wirtz, Musiala, Bruno G, and Paqetta seem promising, but we should avoid players like Olise and Eche who are better for mid-table teams.

This is a tough read. We won't make top 4 if we sign average players? Are you taking the piss? Even if our marquee signing was Darren Bent we'd be odds on favorites to win the league next season.

Avoid players who are better for mid-table clubs? Most of our team has come from teams much below our level. Ake, Doku, Rodri, Ederson, Bernardo, Dias, Stones, Alvarez, and you could also say De Bruyne. These are just off the top of my head; all of whom came from "mid-table" level teams or worse.

And to say this applies to Eze and Olise, but not Paqueta is also quite silly. Wolves finished above WHU last season. Both these clubs are mid-table sides.

Rodrygo won't leave Madrid. He was bred to play for it from birth by his father. He would rather stay on the bench than move. He is too devoted to Madrid because he was natured and indoctrinated, that if you do not play for Madrid, then you are a failure. To his eyes and his father's eyes, the is no other team except Madrid. But, maybe he will see the light or likely not.

He's not a kid - he's capable of recognising the wider context of his career as opposed to treating it like some Disney film.

I don't think he'll leave but likely because Madrid will convince him (despite Vinicius being the favourite and Mbappe coming in) that he will be a starter. See how that goes.
