I mean Cancelo hasn't left yet and if he goes for the rumoured 20m, its a profit. We also made a (book) profit on Mahrez and Laporte which is all thats important.

As for "cashing in", I think we have proven we do. We could have kept Laporte and Mahrez and let them walk out the door for nothing, we were pragmatic and reasonable and did a deal, we put a few tens of millions back in the bank, cleared millions in wages and went and bought players for the squad.

De Bruyne has a year left, he either signs a new contract the week after the euros or he needs to go and bring us a load of millions in the bank, thats business.

Think kev can do what he wants if he wants to see out his contract that's fine it's up to him yes he's well paid but aren't they all (50million I thought it was lira - paul merson)

Being daft would in the new era of PSR and FFP make decisions based on sentiment.

The club are going to have to make tough decisions. If an offer arrives for him then he's clearly given the go ahead and isn't signing a new deal, so we will accept it and wish him all the best.

He's already been spouting off in the media about Saudi, he's firmly opened the door to it. Let's be on the right side of it and not let it be for free next summer.

Not a swap mate because obviously for FFP and PSR it’s two transactions but say PSG bought Alvarez of us for £70m then we buy Simons off them for £70m? Both book big profits for FFP and both get cracking players?
