It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I know we aren’t, but equally Txiki is a well paid man and probably has a good few people in that department with him too. As @richards30 pointed out, we weren’t ripping up trees in Aug and Sept either, added to Rodders injury, and the rest of the injuries and poor form, I’d like to think we got our arses in gear.

Of course, that said, we know January is notoriously difficult to do decent business in, but needs must and we’ve already accepted we fucked up last summer in not getting on with the rebuild, so no excuses to not get 2/3 new faces in asap this month even if we have to overpay. What price do we put on ensuring we are best geared up to get top 4 and Champs League?
Seriously good points.

Highly unlikely it was a Txxiki decision.

Looking at the names we have been linked with in the last 48 hours, I’m very happy.
All 3 are extremely athletic and aggressive.

It could be exactly what the older boys need to give them a lift.
Makes a hell of a difference to the atmosphere in the ground and on the pitch when you see a player snapping into tackles.

we need to inject energy into the squad big time. not just in January but later on we need to go back to the pressing ways to make sure defenders feel uncofomfortable against us instead of happy to sit back and watch us pass between rather passive Akanji, Lewis, Ake passing between each other while our wingers spend also most of their time with their back to the goal passing to the fullback.

ad then there is the energy to get back without the ball rather than ran past, left behind etc.

Italian side has lots of report about rags putting bid for Ederson in the past 2 weeks and were rejected.

So I guess if we want him we have to be somewhere near a bid (or a bid is already made).
I have seen Italian media suggesting both United and City had submitted €52m bids for Ederson, but that was in December. No mention if likely to accept or which team would be favourite destination if bid successful.

I reckon Atalanta would want at least €65m to sell him now, these type of clubs this is their business model?

Hmmm decisions decisions decisions were should I go Current champions and serial winners,or a laughing stock of a club who to be fair will probably pay 2-3 times more than anyone else because they are man utd and the only reason LEFT why any decent footballer would go there anyhow..
