Perhaps. I would think that irrespective, Kovacic would be brought in if possible. He is a blend of Bernardo/Gundogan so would allow greater rotation should they stay, or assume one of their roles should they leave.

Take a £25m+ fee now and clean break even
Or loan with £6m fee, wages covered and £20m fee next summer
