bernado is dumb for going to psg

They will have to do a complete rebuild. Probably, less pressure there now. They wouldn't be expected to achieve anything grand for a while and wouldn't need to win every single match as he and City do.

Bit of a shit show at PSG but they are more stable than Barcelona. Disappointed that Bernardo doesn't want to stay for one more season.

It's game on lads & ladesses! PSG maybe forced to sell Mbappé with the Qataris who're looking to buy ManUre saying he'll be their marquee signing if they complete the purchase of Old Toilet!

Real will be favourites, BUT City were in for him when he was at Monaco with Mendy & Bernardo!

If he goes to them then fuck me, it’d be horrifying. Us or Spain, please!

Not to sound bitter or anything and I of course thank Bernardo and wish him the best of luck but he'll never achieve the sort of harmony and success at PSG that we've given him.
That's the part I'm struggling with just a bit. I can understand his wanting to go to Barca, childhood dream and all, but PSG, really? Messi is gone. Neymar is a bundle of negative uncertainty and Mbappe has 1 year left on his contract and is already making noise about leaving. He would be trading by all accounts one of football's most harmonious squads for one notorious for struggling to find any harmony year in and year out. Never mind that we're now cemented as the best footballing squad in the world and that he is beloved by his manager, his teammates, and the supporters. From a cultural standpoint Spain and Italy are much more similar to Portugal than Paris. What am I missing?

I agree, I can't wrap my head around it either. Didn't his wife have a problem with living in Manchester? Perhaps he chose PSG and Barca in terms of living standard and quality of football and went with PSG as his more favourable option? Who knows at this point.

Dying league with their three stars leaving… no logic except the city, and that’s overrated

Apparently he himself has always dreamt of playing for Barca at some point in his career. The word was his wife wanted to move back to the Iberian Peninsula. I don't get where this whole PSG thing popped up other than them wanting to sign him. How, with all things considered. anyone in his situation (it's not like he's in Laporte's situation) would choose to leave City for PSG at this time remains a bit strange to me. Unless it's really all a money thing. That can never be ruled out.

Probably just wants a new challenge, we know how demanding Pep is. Some players are most likely to do 4-5 years and bounce, the demands must be incredible mentally and physically.

I'm worried about not being able to replace Gundogan, Bernardo and Mahrez plus how we'll fear without those guys until KDB is fully fit and on form again.

The performances in the FA Cup and CL Finals showed that many of our players have jelly legs when under pressure. As good as we've performed in big games (v Arsenal, Munich, Madrid) we can't take for granted that our confidence will stay sky high with such a gap in place.

We are asking an awful lot of Rodri, Foden, Grealish, Alvarez and Haaland when each invariably has a shaky patch. We don't just need great players to come in - we need great motivators and great fighters and great leaders.

It's a big big challenge for Pep. I think it's his biggest since arriving. If he gets it wrong we are on a slide just like every other club before us. Can't wait for the close season to end.
