Gvardiol played more like a left center back at rb leipzig. He paired with a more advanced FB to hold the width . I think that someone like Dimarco, Gosens or Robertson can do that role and it will also free the left winger (Foden or Grealish) roam more freedom like what Walker
+ Foden on the right today. Just give us another attacking option. I think that someone like Dimarco or Robertson are much more practical to buy at this late stage. I cannot see any major team sells us a very good attacking midfielder/winger so late in the window.

yeah I think that it might be the plan. But I am still worried about Stones fitness record and TBH we were very lucky with Silva and Grealish last season and they are not young lad.

What if Grealish is not able to play? Then who to fulfill this left wing back role? Foden? Then we lost all the attacking sparks in the middle.

So I think that the easiest thing to do is to bring in a left/right wing back as a utility player. Given that we have got young Rico on the right side I would suggest a left hand side one. He can play some cup games and also come on around 60 minutes to inject some energy.

Ill take a frimpong in the mix. cover all that side.

This would be my number 1 pick. About as attacking as a fullback gets, with the pace of Walker to get us out of trouble. We dominate possession so he’d get plenty of chances.

I'm sure both are decent enough players but calling them dream signings is a bit of a stretch.
