It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Doku still making all the wrong decisions when fit same as last season. He won’t change, sadly he’s not good enough. Savio lightweight again not good enough. Neither will be the winger sane we all hoped for. Lewis not good enough for midfield and backup right back at best. Gundogan and Kovo past it and should only be used to see out games. Nunes not elite level but actually better than what is being played in midfield. MaCatee not being played… why. If he’s not good enough why did we keep him. Stones sadly too injury prone and Walker again past it. This is the reality of what we have and has sod all to do with injuries, that’s just a poor excuse to try and cover over the poor recruitment we’ve had of late. We need a massive overhaul and it will take a few summer windows to do it… will Haaland hang around for that maybe not.
 
We bought players for more open football and that would create more chances for Haaland. However, that same openness requires midfielders/defenders that can get up and down the pitch, which we never bought. I’ve always thought that the more open football brings us down to the level of other teams. Either educate and rein our current wingers in a little, or get back to signing players that return us to our playing ethos

Spot on - recently how many times have teams been able to break away by 2 or 3 easy passes leaving an overload & many one on ones. Spurs could have scored 7 goals yesterday. A lot of people on here didn't rate Jack for instance but his work for the team in drawing players out of position, winning foul after foul and stopping counters is missed.

Also at the moment we are not punishing teams with all our forward players needing far too many chances to score. In the past we blew teams away and that destroyed confidence they could actually beat us. Now you can see teams think if it's 0-0 or even 1-0 after 20 mins we can win this game. 23 shots and zero goals tells a story.

Yep, many people on here have got exactly what they wanted. So many idiotic takes on players that are/were top class and multiple winners. Same happening with Grealish now. That said, they don’t buy and sell the players. I genuinely don’t know what our policy has been the past few years.

Remember I was being absolutely ridiculed last summer on this forum for thinking the window was a 3/10 (at best). Most was thinking a window were we got rid of serial winners like Mahrez/Laporte/Gundogan + our most talented youngster Palmer with Gvardiol as the only elite signing joining was a 8/10 (or better), some was even saying it was a 11/10. "Pep once said Nunes is world class", "Doku looks insane on youtube" "Kovacic should be able to offer the same as Gundogan" "thats an crazy amount for Palmer, no-brainer".
