VDV would far from being top of the list of targets. Same with Bruno G and Wharton. A replacement for Kyle Walker is the other priority along with another midfielder.So in your mind, 2 injury prone CBs - whose absence has probably helped lead to the injuries to 2 other CBs - a RB who is past it and 1 who is undersized/not physical enough for the role is good enough? For the rest of the season?
A midfielder is obviously in need but that doesn't mean a defender isn't also a need.

I'm a sucker for a good vid. It's a yes for me. Powerful and quick enough with genuine skill. Different profile we are used to which I like also. These are types of players we need to pick up in the 30m - 50m category who be worth 90m (+) in a few years . . . we would hope

I always wonder why we dont sign these guys before they make big money moves. We could of easily picked both these up from lyon and wolfsburgI would take VDV and Bruno in January in a heartbeat. They would start for us all the time.

Otamendi is still performing although we can't expect him to be a consistent performer if he did rejoin but would provide defensive cover to the current players.
Van De Van is one of the world best and only 23 years old. Would be the perfect LB/CB hybrid option, similar to Gvardiol. He would provide some much, much needed pace to our slow backline/midfield. Think he was clocked as the fastest player in the PL last season?
And Bruno G is probably the most important (realistic) signing we could make. We are getting bullied. He is the exact profile we need right now.
