Tolmie can only report if he has some information. Nowt happening, no information therefore nowt to pass on. Only a couple of weeks left. No doubt if Danilo or Otamendi were to leave there would be a flurry of activity but personally I think we are done for the summer.

I agree, we dont actually 'need' anyone now it would just be a nice to have rather than need. I know VK is gone but Otamendi played absolutely no role last year which is pretty harsh considering he was the best centre back in the league the year previous.
 
Danilo still on tour. Which means that he isn't close to joining anyone. = No Cancelo.

Valencia not buying Otamendi. So it seems like he doesn't have a buyer either.

Can't see us signing another first-team player then.
 
Think if someone homegrown or whatever Delph was designated as comes available at the right price we may make a move.

As others above have said it's looking more & more like Dan and Ota are staying so no buys at the back.

Should Sane go which I doubt I can't see us buying a replacement with the width options we already have, we'll want to give Mahrez a proper run at the team ( gulp ;) )

To be fair - I wasn’t his biggest fan but Mahrez showed some better form at the end of last season. Hopefully he’ll return from his exploits in Egypt with his confidence sky high. I expect Mahrez to play much more this season and maybe allow Bernardo to play centrally with Kev - which is an awesome prospect.

He wasn't one I was happy to see play either certainly early on but hopefully he will be a better fit this season.... I await someone posting stats of goals/assists...

I tend to agree and I know this wont go down well,but Sane really has to start pulling his finger out and show more consistency,otherwise I can see Mahrez getting more game time,based on his last few games for club and country.
 
If Mahrez doesn't return to form this season I think he will be surplus to requirements next summer. He has had a year to adapt to our system and knows what he has to do IMO.

He returned to form last season and carried it on at the African nations.

Then it will be like a new signing along with KDB and hopefully Mendy. The games I saw him in at home was hit and miss nothing would give me more pleasure than him to rock up and show us what he can do consistently.

Admittedly it was only the last 2 or 3 games in particular the Brighton game and cup final. But signs that if he finally feels comfortable and confident he can be another option and with KDB can make us even stronger.
 
Mahrez needed to adapt his game.. at Leicester he ran into and exploited space behind defences but playing for us there’s rarely ever and space in behind - as teams park the bus and refuse to push out. Mahrez has good technique and needs to play more like Bernardo - taking players on and creating his own space.

He did it in fits and starts last season.

If he does find that consistency we crave he’ll be fucking unplayable. When he’s on it he’s magic.
