It's Quiet - a new dawn

you`re like a broken record at times mate! I was just pointing out that I find it strange that we don't have fullbacks in place already? considering even the chairman said in his interview that full backs are the most important position in peps formation then it would be logical to think it would have been sorted by now?

Because we click our fingers and they coming running ?

Pep seems calm enough (on the inside City video) so we cant be close to hitting any panic buttons just yet.

Yeah, I agree. I've been intrigued by how confident and calm we've been all along. It's out of my control so It'll take a lot to get me worked up but I just thought it was a tad harsh for some people having a little bit of a go at Richards.

New year, same flappers. We'd all like our targets to be signed a good bit quicker but it's not that easy. Most of our title rivals have yet to make a single acquisition and we have two in the door already.

Does anyone genuinely believe we are starting the season without a right back? Or a left back? Or cover for those positions?

Not only that, but contractual agreements and legal wrangling between clubs and players/other clubs happens instantly too.

Exactly and fuck letting them have a holiday or a break.

Lets be honest, the chances of Arsenal agreeing to a offer within the next three days is extremely unlikely. Manchester City will not be putting a bid in unless Sanchez makes it clear he wants to leave. It's not even got to that stage yet. After that will come the hardest part (getting Arsenal to accept a bid)

In what way has he not made it clear? He's refused their contracts and reportedly said he's intent on joining us.

What you mean is he hasn't publicly announced his desire to leave and burnt all bridges. Which is a completely different, and usually unnecessary part of the process. I'm pretty sure he'll join us as soon as Lemar or Mahrez go to Arsenal which should be pretty soon.

I agree, 100 percent.
I don't think @richards30 was flapping at all. It's a legitimate concern because we've been told all along that we would like everyone in at the start of preseason, or as as many as possible of course. There's 4 fullbacks needed and 0 are here at the start like we've intended to have happen. Chaos and panic? No, but concern is more than justified.

But our top targets arent available to complete, Mendy on holiday and Alves got married! Walker is a spurs player and is on a 5yr deal so its unrealistic if we think we will get him until aug..

People have real lives, i dont think they plan their holidays amd weddings around meaningless preseason tours and bluemoon transfer forums
