Completely disagree Arsenal will make it clear they tried everything they could to retain him. They will want the fans to aim the anger at Sanchez and not the club. Arsenal is already very fragile.

And he is by far their greatest asset,apart from the ground,but even I think it could be 60/40 that he comes to us,but that extra 10% swing in favour is made up more from hope really,in reality it is 50/50 I'd say in whether he comes or not,and most upsetting thing is, it will be out of Sanchez's hands really
I think we can look at our dealings without comparing to other teams. I agree our rivals haven't done anything worrying which is the only saving grace. I just think it's crazy how we have had these targets for months, worlds worst kept secret our main targets yet we seem to be just plodding on. If you compare it to the way the Silva deal happened it makes it even more odd.

Do you believe that? I genuinely don't think they are arsed about the fans. Keeping Wenger proves that.
Arsenal have showed time and time again, at every single opportunity that they don't give a shit about the fans or their reaction to the club's business. Anyone who thinks the fans opinion, or the expected reaction will play any part in their decision clearly hasn't been paying attention to the last 10 years.

Another statement i disagree with. How can please one set of fans split with two diffrent opinions ' Wenger in and Wenger out' The situation last season was one the board would never 'win' the only way to stop the fans anger is to do bring in some quality players and do well next season and even more importantly have a plan.
If you think the board don't want to stop the toxic divide that plagued the club at the end of last season you are deluded. They will want to say and do all the right things to have the fans going into the new season with a lot of hope, even if it's false haha.
If they cared about stopping the toxic divide than Wenger wouldn't have been able to wait until the 11th hour to sign his new contract on whatever terms he wanted, and Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ozil would have signed new deals.
Arsenal's board care about the bottom line, and Arsenal's fans didn't even consider a boycott or any other form of action which could threaten it because it wasn't actually serious, and the board know that.
I see all them things as being out of the hands of the board at the time of the divide. However one thing that the board have got massively wrong and one of the very main reasons they have this toxic divide is a lack of planning. How so many players have been able to run contracts down to the final year is unbelievably shocking. I don't think they will make this mistake again, if they do they are idiots.
