It's Quiet - a new dawn

I will say it one final time. Nobody has said we've convinced him to come here. One poster said we have agreed to the players personal terms and that we have an agreement with his entourage. It seems pretty clear to me that that is a mile away from a deal happening. More than one club could and probably would have agreed to the same package.

Should that poster wish to clarify and say that we have actually convinced the player to come here and that it is just a matter of fee negotiation then he is free to do so.

Probably for the best mate. You seem a little wound up.

Because he allegedly hasn't agreed terms with Real Madrid, doesn't mean he won't do.

Then it would be down to either or both teams agreeing & fee with Monaco & then the player deciding which team he wanted to sign for.

The so called agreement between City & Real, may be that both clubs have the same limit they will offer Monaco, which is substantially less than the media figure.

Then, both try to 'seduce' the player.

Of course, if Monaco insist on 180 mil, then those guardians of football decency, Manchester Utd, will then pay it next season.

Just had a quick read back through this and a couple of other threads and noticed almost all the supposedly itk stuff @tolmie's hairdoo and @BillyShears post is total bollocks that never comes true.
I'm astonished so many still fall for this nonsense tbh.
So you've read various threads and wasted your time just dont read them and jog on and don't let the door hit you on the way out :)

Oh so you think he's agreed a deal and personal terms to come here, but still doesn't want to come here?

Of course, how could I not realise. You're right, personal terms mean nothing, after all, the player still doesn't want to come. They're just personal terms for when he doesn't come.

I didn't say personal terms didn't mean anything. You said that we had convinced the player to come. Poles apart mate.

If you cannot see that then there's little I can do about that. Seems pretty simple to me and others.

If there is no communication between a team wanting to sign a player and that players agent then how the feck do you think transfers operate then? Telepathy!!!!

of course there is communication. But the club should on paper first give permission to talk to the player and player hired agent to represent them. So, if all done "lawly", no talk should take place before the club who owns player give permission to buying club.

It was strange how B. Silva became a City player with so little drama.
Is it possible we are much more friendly with Monaco than some (inc Monaco) would have us believe. If so perhaps all has been agreed regarding the transfer and he may stay at Monaco for another year as others have suggested. Hopefully just detail from now on....

Well I can dream can I not?

we are indeed in great relationship with them. And it's not only after this summer, we sold them Lopes too. I remember when SIlva news broke out, media were reporting it all went through fast because we're good mates with them.
