Of you hard of reading. It's self evident that any terms agreed are a package that he wants and may have been agreed with an agent or his entourage.
That is a million miles from, to quote you "If you think convincing Mbappé to come here".
That wasn't suggested. There may be several clubs that agree to players personal terms. The player then has a decision to make.

Because he allegedly hasn't agreed terms with Real Madrid, doesn't mean he won't do.
Then it would be down to either or both teams agreeing & fee with Monaco & then the player deciding which team he wanted to sign for.
The so called agreement between City & Real, may be that both clubs have the same limit they will offer Monaco, which is substantially less than the media figure.
Then, both try to 'seduce' the player.
Of course, if Monaco insist on 180 mil, then those guardians of football decency, Manchester Utd, will then pay it next season.
Then it would be down to either or both teams agreeing & fee with Monaco & then the player deciding which team he wanted to sign for.

We've convinced him to come here. Maybe Real Madrid will convince him to change his mind.
Now we have to convince Monaco to sell him to us at a price that we can agree on.

I will say it one final time. Nobody has said we've convinced him to come here. One poster said we have agreed to the players personal terms and that we have an agreement with his entourage. It seems pretty clear to me that that is a mile away from a deal happening. More than one club could and probably would have agreed to the same package.
Should that poster wish to clarify and say that we have actually convinced the player to come here and that it is just a matter of fee negotiation then he is free to do so.

Of course, how could I not realise. You're right, personal terms mean nothing, after all, the player still doesn't want to come. They're just personal terms for when he doesn't come.
