I also think its a little unlikely mate. A dream if it does happen though. The football world would be in complete shock and many clubs especially in the PL would be absolutely terrified. If we are going to break the world record and make a statement signing, it doesn't get much better than Neymar!!

I'm genuinely fascinated to see what City do this summer. We'll know a lot about how our owners and Pep think at the end of it. My guess is we won't do anything 'marquee' unless people class Sanchez as marquee.

Me too. I do think Pep will be 100% backed. This first season was more of a test, Pep wanted to get to know the team, players, etc. He might of thought our fullbacks were good enough to win a title or two but that is not the case. I think Pep now knows exactly what is needed to compete on all fronts next season. We'll finally get it right this summer IMO. No margin for error next season. Honestly expecting us to win the league and maybe one cup, while going far in the CL. Even if we don't get Neymar, Sanchez improves us immensely.

Buying mbappe for a world record fee would be so stupid, he has done nothing in his career, you pay that money for someone who is already world class not some 18 year old on the same level as 25m G.jesus .

It absolutely baffles me that people are saying "Neymar? Nah, I'll pass".

Neymar moving the Premier League would be one of the biggest signings of all time. It's exceedingly rare despite the insistence of the EPL is the best in the world that superstars come here in their peak years. Big money signings here are more often than not players who are expected to be brilliant who then move abroad or players who have been brilliant and are unwanted/offcuts by the superclubs.

Neymar is a superstar now and one of the most respected and feared frontlines in the world, one which is regarded as one of the best Barcelona have ever had. Why wouldn't we want a piece of that?

Where are these Neymar rumours coming from? Seems like guesswork and giddiness and I'd say people have jumped the gun.

So as it stands, the players we may be bringing in judging by ITK's postings and latest rumours are:

GK - Ederson, failing that Pickford
RB - Walker and possibly Semedo if we can't get Fabinho as back up
LB - Sandro, failing that Mendy or Gaya
CB - no idea, not a lot kicking around about this
CDM - Fabinho, failing that Carvalho
Attacker - Mbappe, Sanchez, Martins, or Vitolo

No doubt there'll be some surprise signings that come out of nowhere too.

Jesus has already doubled in value. On paper a wide forard is not what we need, but players like Mbappe are the difference between finishing 3rd and winning trophies.

Last Summer we managed to buy outstanding young players in Jesus and Sane. If we started the season now with those 2, we'd be a lot closer than we are now.

According the Spanish press Neymar's father urges him to join them too.

I really hope them highlighted are not serious targets. Especially Vitolo who in my opinion is very average, similar the the Nolito transfer.
