It's Quiet - a new dawn

Bravo slipped your mind? Could add Nolito too really.

If you think Bravo was a poor decision then we should never buy any player ever.

Because on paper, Bravo was Barcelona's number 1, just captained his side to another Copa America with an incredible final performance, voted as one of the top 5 keepers in the world by both players and journalists, renowned for his ability with ball at feet and the perfect player for us with the experience to cope with the pressure of playing in a side transitioning to pep's style and as the replacement of Joe Hart, sudden national hero as soon as he left.

Bravo failing has nothing to do with poor selection of transfer targets and everything to do with the inherent risk with every transfer that they might not adapt or settle. It's possible to point to any player in the world you want us to buy, and they'd be as likely to fail as Bravo.

And he might still come good I guess.

Carvalho is a bad signing because he's a bad player. He's not very good, as I've said he's slow and a very weak passer.

The fact no other half decent side wants him suggests his quality is also poor. Instead of buying average players we should be signing higher calibre players who'll take us forwards. Carvalho is not even as good as Fernando.

There is not an ounce of fucking evidence that Pep is after 90% of the players talked about on here so its all fucking hot air, as previous seasons show ever since we have been taken over the transfer thread is littered with players we are going to sign-how fucking brilliant we will be next season blah blah blah, sell Silva hes not a Pep player blah blah blah- its like kids in a fucking toy shop.

So far we are signing Isco, Dahoud, Barkley, Carvalho , Mbappe, Rose, Walker, Sanchez and that's not even started on CB's.

All of a sudden Aguero is dogshit, Silva's past it (really) Yaya's shit etc etc.

Lets hope some of these darlings have the mental attitude to win things for City, we had this last year and the year before that that we will smash all thats in our way after the next "big window" and thats gone well hasnt it.

Frankly its all piss and wind until the the opening game of next season.

the links to carvalho might be just because peps brother is his agent and then speculation on that fact.
and the reasoning behind 'pep wants him so he must be right' is quite silly. let people have their opinions on this guy. what pep thinks shouldn't influence anything, i'm sure there's a healthy list of players peps bought and it's not worked, as well as a list of players which did work.

my opinion is he's crap so no. we're not peps tool to make money for his brother ta v much

He's been linked to us the rags and 2 Spanish teams in today's Kicker.
A I read it, he was complaining about lack of playing time recently, so the journos made up this story immediately. He has a longterm contract and will play a lot next season as Alonso is retiring.

Kicker is actually really reliable, particularly for Bayern news.

If they were going to make up a Kimmich leaving Bayern story they'd have played on his relationship with Pep, without whom Bayern wouldn't care much if he left.

As I assume, Kicker just stated that there are (or were) offers from 4 clubs for Kimmich, not mentioning the exact time they were made. So, it was a known fact, they've just brought it up in light of Kimmich's complaints. I don't think he is within our reach. I would be glad to be mistaken, of course.

Have you ever seen him play mate? He is anything but a weak passer. I've seen majority of posts criticizing him suggest that he's a weak passer. He is as good a passer as Yaya Toure if not better. And he is a completely different player to Fernando. Don't get those comparisons either.

I have. He's not a weak passer, he's an above average passer. Not on Yaya Toure's level though.

Carvalho isn't a Yaya type of player in terms of being an attacking threat but he is the more mobile and does possess the strength which would be missing once Toure goes. He is better defensively than Yaya (which is more of a priority in the team).
