That alone would be an impressive window of upgrades; add in the potential of another forward (Sanchez; albeit I see him off to Bayern) & potentially a CB, then it would be a pretty hard window to top.

I don't see Fabinho as a replacement for Zabba. More like an replacement for Fernandinho, who will be a squad player next season IMO (Fernando and Delph leave).

If we get Fabinho, and Yaya signs for another year. We will have overloaded our midfield (Yaya, Ferna, Gundo and Fabinho would be competing for 1-2 positions).
At the expense of FB's (Because we are signing 2 FB's and letting at least 3 leave).

Which can mean 2 things:

We will see 3 at the back more....Or/and we will use the likes of Ferna/Fabinho as inverted FB's at times. Since we won't have proper cover for Walker and Mendy (other than Kolarov if he stays).

Exciting times.
 
Sam can only be talking about Mendy IMO so I think if all goes well we can look forward to something like this -

Mendy announced on Monday.

Ederson flies to Manchester on Monday after the cup final and is announced Tuesday/Wednesday

Fabinho gets wrapped up and announced Thursday/Friday.

Then we see a break for a few weeks with Levy holding out for a while and a CB and/or Sanchez wrapped up just before the preseason starts.

Most of these players like Walker, Bernardo, Mendy, Fabinho and Ederson will cost less than £50m. Possibly the CB too. So we can get those 7 for £250m-£300m easily.

Bear in mind Ederson is going to be playing a cup final until about 9pm Sunday evening.

And if they win (which the should) he's probably going to celebrate with his team that night, not fly out immediately.
 
Been out shopping all day. Anyone care to summarise as there seems to be too much going on in too many theads... pepole talking about all sorts of medicals and announcement to be made tomorrow.

Mendy and Ederson look very likely to be confirmed next week.

Tolmie hinted at done deals earlier (posted a video hint, Eminem - Lose Yourself). Someone guessed right 'M & M' - Mendy and Moraes.

Rumour that a signing (possibly 2) will be announced on Monday.

Ederson Moraes now follows City's instagram along with a couple of his compatriots here (Dinho and Jesus).
 
I believe we would regret missing out on Fabinho. From what I've seen, he's essentially a young Fernandinho, who would flourish in the Prem.
