As much as Tolmie's cryptic clues build the anticipation; can't he just provide information explicitly?
You're not one for foreplay, then?

I think Pep has maybe delivered a few home truths to our board, he's certainly not arsed about what it will all cost.

He will be in 12 months time if he hasn't delivered at least one major trophy. This will be the acid test for him.
We will do Mbappe and Sanchez given the chance.
Has always been the case, just unsure of Madrid and Paris moves.
What home truths would those be?
Absolutely. With this level of investment, plus the residual inherited squad, few managers could fail. It's shit or bust. He's already going to be in a sticky situation if he doesn't win anything this season, I guess he's just going all in.
Er....the squad he inherited wasnt fit for purpose perhaps and a major rebuild was required this summer?

Why would we wait a year? The current asking price is already around 70m. He will either have another great season and his value will go up even more, or he will have a moderately good season and he won't be deemed good enough for us.Think tolmie posted a while back not this year, next year

So what's the minimum you expect of him this season, given all the signings over the last 12 months? Or are you going to continue sucking everything up uncritically?
A tad confrontational if you dont mind me asking but given i like you i will answer......... ;-)
I expect us to win the league this season, end of.
Domestic cups are a bonus but the league is all important.
CL is difficult given you have to overcome the Spanish giants and Bayern as well as the refs and UEFA but with this squad we shouldn't be far off making the final sooner rather than later if not winning it.
More importantly mate Pep will agree with that and more no doubt and will expect far more than what we as fans will imo.

You heard anything on Pep signing a new extended deal? Surely with the kind of funds being sanctioned we'd expect a further 2 years minimum?I think Pep has maybe delivered a few home truths to our board, he's certainly not arsed about what it will all cost.
Impressive. I like how you always take a broader view of topics, asking relevant questionsYou heard anything on Pep signing a new extended deal? Surely with the kind of funds being sanctioned we'd expect a further 2 years minimum?

I doubt Pep had to tell ok man"home truths" to Sheik Mansour, Khaldoon, Ferran or Txiki. Throughout the season he will simply have stated his opinion - the opinion of the best coach in the wold, pursued by City for years - that City did not have a team capable of winning one trophy, never mind four, without the acquisition of several players who could reduce the average age of the team while, t the same time, turning problem positions into strengths. Not surprisingly the club has backed Pep with the finance required and Txiki has played an absolute blinder in getting deals agreed. We look an entirely different prospect than last season and should be genuine ont drew in all four coptitions. That' not to take anything for granted, but the project seems to be progressing in the most exciting way. And if we can get Sachez ........and Mbapé.....Wow!
