Just a counterpoint here. Shouldn’t we be more ruthless in that department as part of our growth as a club? Holistic was the buzzword when MP came in and I think we made progress with the ‘synergy’. I’d like us to be a little more hard hitting going forward. We’re at the point now where we can’t improve our squad without unloading good players.

The players will let him know, pretty quickly.

I think Pep might encourage him to be a bit greedy around the oppo box, as Messi has always been, to some extent. As we overplay the sideways passing at times when we should be giving them more problems.

But if he overdoes it, generally, the team will sort him out before Pep does. Then it will be Pep's job to explain why nobody passes to him & therefore he can't get in the team.

I hoestly have no idea until I see City again, & our rivals. The City squad will have to be 'up for it' of course.

If we play at a similar level to last season, I can't see us not winning it by a fair distance, but by how much, depends on how many games our nearest rivals will lose over the season & I don't even know who will be playing in their teams yet & how they will improve, or not, as the case may be.

What a silly statement how can you judge a team before a ball is kicked.take injuries and signings into effect and literally anything could happen.
