Something along those lines has to happen or we will be fighting for 4th/5th at best.

The whole defence was at fault positonally, even before you add dthe slip.

If Lewis hasn’t lost nearly every single time he’s put in a similar position you give him a pass. But he’s conceded that low cross at least a half a dozen times now. Yes the left back weakness plays a large part in those balls coming in but Rico Lewis simply cannot defend that and it’s criminal at this point.

Every manager knows that you simply get it behind our left back and cross low across the box. It’s so easy to score now and Rico can’t cover the space behind him, ever. A crucial issue for a right back.
 
Doubt we could pull it off but Ake and Akanji to leave and Guehi coming in would be a good move.

A RB would also be nice if there's a quality one out there somewhere (and available).

Would prefer Ederson and Savinho to stay but if either go, they will need replacing.

I agine Palace would need to get some cover first having just let Eze leave too
 
I’d be reluctant to let Ake go, he’s very good at 1:1s at left back, good leader and at the moment a better CH than Dias. Also classed as “home grown”

No one is putting the money up for Wharton until he proves he can have a season that's mostly injury free. Last season he only started 16 games for them in the league - it's 100% the reason why clubs are holding off.

Exactly this....its not just about one game....its about a host of games last season where the exact same pattern happens. It not his only consistent floor either. He is weak facing his own goal under pressure as well -simply gets bullied off the ball time and time again.
The other consistent is that he loses the ball on the edge of the opponents are as well and then they have a whole pitch nearly to run into and he simply cannt get anywhere near them - this happened lots last season

We have not even been linked to Guehi

Now that would be a good signing but it has dippers written all over it whether this summer or next

Even if we move for Guehi, i think he is deadset on Liverpool now

Need to stop fuckin about and put in a serious bid for Baleba, the game has changed, we need a powerful athletic CM or we will continue to concede control of games.

I also don’t understand how 1 CM is going to change everything when the same players still play. Bernardo as RW yesterday again.
