The short answer is Havertz, Kane or Joao Felix are the top nominees for unlikely transfer #5.

In a vacuum, yes, but looking at the reality I don't agree. Liverpool finished on 99 points. We would've needed more than that to win the title, or in other words, replicate or improve upon the best attacking season ever in English football history (City 17/18). With Laporte, we would have probably finished with 90+ points, but not above 99. To bridge that gap, we need more reliable finishers. We missed Sane's 20+ goal+assists this season.
Torres, followed by...Four after Torres, but a slight hope for a very big and surprising fifth.
But we don't. If Laporte was fit or we had a very good left sided back up (which I believe Aké to be) then we would have won without Kompany. We have dozens and dozens of games worth of proof that Laporte + A.N. Other is good enough to win 9/10 games and the league.
I don't think the club want to go in with just Aké, I don't think we will, but it would have been enough last summer to get us the title this year.
Torres, followed by...
1. Ake
2. Steffen
3. Koulibaly or some other top CB
4. LB?
5. Big surprise signing
I meant 20+ (goals + assists), not (20+ goals) + assistsSane's 20+ goals + assists???
You'd have been lucky to get that out of him. In the whole of his career with City he made 90 appearances and scored 25 goals in total - so 20+ goals in a season wouldn't have been the Sane we knew.
I think we all look back and remember his moments of brilliance . . and forget that he often went missing for game after game.
